Anatomy of Motion, Final Project: Build A Body (Unicornus Equidae, or the West Asian Unicorn)

For the second semester of my Junior year at Pratt Institute, I took an Anatomy of Motion class that specifically focused on capturing the movement of both human and non-human animals. Our final project was to create a creature, either mythical or based on a pre-existing animal, that could theoretically function in real life. For this, I decided to redesign the Unicorn. A powerful beast, this animal is located within West Asia and Africa, and can be found in flat, grassy plains across the continents. The West Asian Unicorn is an intimidating crossbreed between the Rhino, the Hippo and the Wild Horse, with most of its DNA belonging to the Ice-Age Era “Wooly Rhinoceros”, or the Siberian Unicorn as it’s more commonly known. This creature is highly territorial and aggressive, using its horns and powerful jaw to attack, and is often thought of as a symbol of power, sexuality, protection and innocence.

Evolution, Final Project: Size Evolution in Rodents-An Illustrated Guide.

My final project for my Evolution class during the first semester of Senior Year at PRATT Institute. The assignment was to create an art project detailing an aspect of evolution that interests you, so I decided to make a mini magazine detailing Size Evolution in Rodents. (Read from Left to Right!)
